From the superb public gardens of Hamilton to the spellbinding magic of the caves of Waitomo, be prepared to be entranced by this lovely region.

For fans of the Tolkein stories and the movies based on them - Lord of The Rings and the Hobbit – be sure to take in the town of Matamata and visit the Hobbiton movie set.

To the west, take in the surf beaches and sunsets of Raglan and the history of Kawhia if you can.

A visit to the caves at Waitomo should feature on your itinerary too. The magnificent stalactites and stalagmites will amaze you. The crowning glory is the spectacular glow worm cave!

The Waikato has many sporting attractions too, with New Zealand rowing being centred on Lake Karapiro and cycling at Cambridge. Mountain biking opportunities abound too.

Ride with us over our farm and up Mt Karioi where you will see wonderful views of the beach, ocean and rolling valleys. We ride through native bush, over streams and down onto the beautiful Ruapuke beach where the black iron (volcanic) sand glistens. Feel the wind on your face - This is a horse adventure with an edge!

Our ride is a 2 1/2 - 3 hour (half day) adventure and is moderate to challenging.

Horse trek over farmland for one hour if you`re a beginner rider or for two hours if you`re adventurous at heart or a skilled horse rider. We also trek to the beautiful Bridal Veil Falls (55m high).

You`re welcome to rest at our picnic area overlooking panoramic views of the Raglan harbour and beyond. Our horses are all colours, breeds, sizes & all are friendly and responsive.
