Within walking distance of the local village, Penny Lodge B&B is in an ideal location to enjoy the Waikato - whether you are cycling, tramping in the forest park, enjoying the local cafe scene or venturing further afield by car to Hobbiton ( Lord of the Rings) or the Waitomo Caves.

The guest bedroom is comfortable and airy with a private outlook.

Any booking has sole use of the guest spacious bathroom which has a high pressure shower, and a large spa bath - perfect to relax in after a long day!

Unwind with a glass of wine or beer in front of the fire, or out on the large deck during the warmer months. Explore the local historic village, play a game of golf at the local 19-hole course, & end your day with a meal at the 'local'.
A separate guest lounge with tea-making facilities and television is available for your quieter moments or you might like to join your host in the large kitchen/dining/lounge area to discuss the kiwi way of life.

As your host, I take delight in making sure all my guests enjoy their visit to Pirongia. I travelled extensively in my younger days, an am now a keen tramper (hiker). Over the last 5 years I have completed many of New Zealand's "Great Walks", as well as many tracks on Mt Pirongia and the Kaimai Range to the East.
