About Lady Bowen Bed & Breakfast

Lady Bowen Bed and Breakfast has a Historic Places Category 2 listing. The 1867 building has been lovingly renovated into very comfortable accommodation. The layout of the old hotel is much as it was in 1882, when it was renovated from a one story pub to a two story hotel with accommodation with 8 guest rooms and shared guest bathrooms upstairs. Of course it is a lot more comfortable these days but still retains the integrity of the original building.

There is plenty of room for our all our guests as the old bar is now a guest lounge (with fireplace and full sized pool table), and there is also a large dining room, a covered upstairs verandah, a covered deck and large garden areas for our guest to use.

We serve a good breakfast each morning and are more than happy to help you if you need advice on what to do in the area. We can make reservations, organise bike hires, and point you in the right direction for most activities. Of course if you'd prefer just to have a friendly chat, we enjoy that also and can tell you many stories about the history of the building and the area. There are many attractions close by and the local shopping area with markets, bars, cafes and restaurants are a short flat stroll away.
