Originally built as a doctor's residence this character home has been lovingly and tastefully maintained by members of the same family, who offer it as comfortable guest accommodation.

The private guest suite has its own exterior entrance and comprises a double bedroom, spacious bathroom with laundry and separate living room (which can be converted to a bedroom with two single beds to accommodate family groups ). The suite has a west-facing patio, where guests can soak up the last of the evening sun. Top quality cotton sheets, down duvets and black out blinds will ensure a restful sleep in a quiet, comfortable bedroom. Other facilties include WiFi, freeview television, fridge, microwave, electric fry pan, table /chairs, tea and coffee making facilities. Milk, sugar, fresh fruit and a sweet treat are provided for your arrival. There are glasses, plates and cutlery for use if you choose to bring food in. The local cafe is a 5 minute walk away

The Cypresses is only 5 minutes drive to Tauranga's CBD. Mount Maunganui, with its famous beaches and walks up and around Mauao , is only another 10 minutes away. Guests can wander to Matua's harbour beaches , boardwalk and reserves in just 5 minutes. The local bus stops right outside the property.

St Columba church, Radius Matua rest home, Tauranga Bridge Club, Matua and Cherrywood shopping centras are nearby.
