Welcome to West Coast Horse Adventures.
Ride with us through farmland, rivers, native bush and the beach, exploring the beautiful West Coast of New Zealand on horseback.
Small groups ensure a more personal experience. Riders of all abilities welcome.
(For the safety of riders, staff and horses, there is a weight limit of 95kg. Exceptions can be made at the discretion of the guide.)
River Ride
Allow 2 hours total. We will take you through farmland, rivers and native bush to the track at Cow Piddle Bluff, a stunning limestone formation and waterfall.
Beach Ride
Allow 3 hours total. This ride is for the more confident riders and takes us to the beautiful 9-Mile Beach.
Customised Ride
This is your individual treat, where we cater the ride to your ability and needs without any other customers.
Our horses are well trained, experienced and compliant. You will have a short introduction and will be able to "ride" your horse, rather than just being a passenger.
About Us:
We are a family-run operation, passionate about sharing the magic of horses, and the special connection we can have with them.
Dorothee has had 30 years of experience with horses.
Our horses are part-arab and have a sensitive, responsive nature and lovely movement. "The back of a horse is a place which allows us to feel truly happy"
