Gumtree farm runs beef cattle and sheep all year round, as well as rearing calves and orphaned lambs during the months of August to October. We also have 4 working dogs, 2 house cats, 4 alpaca, chickens, ducks, kune kune pig & pet sheep.

We offer hosted B&B accommodation for 2 adults in our home, as well as a separate self contained shepherds hut which is the perfect adults retreat.

The ARDGOWAN ROOM is located in our family home and has a king size bed which can convert to 2 single beds. Private bathroom with separate guest share toilet. This room is suitable for a maximum of 2 adults, sorry no children/babies.
Inclusions:- Continental Breakfast, limited free internet. An afternoon tour of the farm - giving you time to pat & feed farm animals.

THE SHEPHERD'S REST is a Shepherds Hut separate from the house and offers accommodation for 2 adults. Self-contained with a queen bed, kitchenette, composting toilet and shower. NO WIFI OR FARM TOUR (farm tour available for extra fee).

Our farm is a short drive to Oamaru which has many restaurants. No kitchen facilities available.

We are the perfect base for sightseeing in and around historic Oamaru. Highlights of Oamaru include blue and yellow-eyed penguins, the Victorian Precinct and its array of artists and craftspeople, Moeraki Boulders and Elephant Rocks.
We hope to meet you soon.
