Directions: Located on the main highway between Wanaka and Haast. Approximately 45 minutes drive from Wanaka and an hours drive to Haast. We are about half way between the Makarora Country Cafe and Makarora Tourist Centre.
About Makarora River Ranch
We supply comfortable accommodation in restored buildings on a working farm adjoining the Mt Aspiring National Park. A choice of three accommodation buildings means we can cater for the lone traveller, couples or larger groups.
With some rooms containing more than one bed, we can cater for hunting groups, cyclists, families or other groups travelling together. View room configuration on our website or contact us for more information.
There are many outdoor activities to enjoy in the area with hunting, hiking and great photo opportunites right at your doorstep. Farm tours can be arranged to view sheep, cattle, deer and if you're lucky the Himalayan Tahr may make an appearance.
