Directions: 15 min drive from Thames. Access is via a ford river crossing, in the event of heavy rain there is no vehicle access. For these occasions there is a foot swingbridge across the river and you will be met by a tractor to transport you to the house.
About Devcich Historic Farmstead - Farm stay
There is the 3 bedroom homestead which is very cosy, with a coal range in the dining room and a fire place in the lounge. Fully functional kitchen plus a BBQ. Sleeps 6.
Also available on the property is a one bedroom cottage, with a fold out sofa bed in the lounge, kitchenette, microwave and bbq. Sleeps 3. Mobile reception for Spark and vodafone, and limited Wifi. All linen and towels provided.
The river is on the boundary, good trout fishing and a great swimming hole nearby. Quite an array of exotic animals and birds to entertain you. The Department of Conservation bush walks to the popular Pinnacles further up the valley.
We also offer several activities that are available to guests.
