Pakira is the perfect location to leave behind all your stress and routines of modern living, allowing you to recharge and enjoy the simple pleasures of life - curling up and reading a good book, hearing the chorus of birdsong at dusk, sitting on the deck with a glass of wine looking at a sky full of stars, enjoying the best of nature, while relaxing and enjoying peace and tranquillity - a rural escape like no other.

Our private fully self contained cottage is well equipped but still offers a very homely relaxing feel and sleeps 5 comfortably. Cook up a gourmet meal or enjoy something simple as you unwind on the deck whilst gazing out onto the native bush with the farm animals grazing the hills. Spend your evenings outside watching the stars, or cosy up to the fire with a hot drink and movie.

Enjoy peaceful walks on our privately owned New Zealand sheep and beef farm. Experience the wildlife and farm animals as you make your way to ridge top views of our farm, neighbouring farming valleys, Mt Ruapehu, Mt Taranaki, Mangawhero River and the native bush.

Should it be the season help yourself to the fruit trees near the cottage. If you’re a keen fisherman, the local river has a bounty of brown and rainbow trout, so bring your rod and you might be having fresh fish for dinner.

To ensure you have a relaxing stay away from the hustle and bustle of life, there is no wifi or cell phone reception.
