Directions: From Taupo township travel along the lakefront 2km until you see State Highway 5 to Napier on your left .Follow this road to Napier 5km until a turn right into Caroline Drive and first left into Deborah Rise.

About The Pillars Retreat

Owned and operated by John and Nancy White The Pillars Retreat offers Boutique accommodation at Lake Taupo.

The Pillars is set in 3 acres of park like grounds with gazebo, pond, tennis court and salt water pool.

There are 4 upstairs ensuited guest rooms. The Pillars Suite (our luxury Honeymoon Suite, has a Californian king bed, full balcony with Mountian, garden and poll views. The Sunset room has a king bed and faces the setting sun with views over the garden. The Tauhara Suite faces the east and has a super king bed. It has a Juliet balcony overlooking the garden and pool. The Bonshaw Suite has a californian king bed and also has a juliet balcony with garden and pool views. Because the rooms are upstairs privacy is guaranteed as they cant be walked past. There is secure off street parking

All rooms have radio clock, underfloor heating with individual controls, tea and coffee making facilities, gowns, iron and ironing board, hair dryer and complimentary toiletries, bottled water. Fresh fruit and home baked biscuits are provided each day. Guests can use our complimentary laundry and log on to our free Wifi throughout the house.
