Directions: 17 Kerswell Terrace, Rotorua 3015. Take Mokia Drive (at the Te Puia end) off State Highway 5, known as the Thermal Explorer Highway or Old Taupo Road. Go up the hill, turning right into Sloane Avenue and then right into Kerswell Terrace.
This homestay offers a tranquil stay in a spacious garden setting, with petanque and croquet courts, outdoor seating and BBQ facilities. Relax anytime in the spa pool accompanied with its breath taking view down the valley overlooking the geysers or enjoy a refreshing drink on the deck capturing the last of the sun.
Your hosts, Shami, Dave and our 2 cats, "Lucky" the maitre d and "Blanca" the Queen. Shami & Dave are a married couple who have lived in Rotorua for over 15 years. They balanced their time between NZ and California (USA). Both are passionate about meeting and hosting people. They have six children and twelve grandchildren spread across the globe, and really enjoy travelling abroad whenever they get the chance.
Shami loves cooking. If you are fortunate enough to book an evening meal with Shami, you are in for a gourmet delight served with a glass of their finest wine. Light continental breakfasts are free, but an extra charge applies for cooked. Shami's famous homestyle cooked breakfasts are legendry. Other meals including fine dining can be available on request.
Dave loves a good chat. He knows Rotorua like the back of his hand and works in tourism, so if you are wanting to know the best things to do, he would be more than happy to provide recommendations.
