Our 643Ha mainland island in Queen Charlotte Sound is now
a native wildlife sanctuary instead of a sheep and beef station. Instead
of making a living from meat and wool we now make a living by providing
environmental services.
The following information details the changes we have made, the main reasons
why we have made them (climate change) and what might be possible in the
future. The purpose of the paper is to provide a resource for other landowners
should they wish to follow a similar path.
Note. Some chapters are still being compiled and so may not yet be posted. Please contact us direct for information. This information will be updated from time to time. If you would like a notice sent to you when this happens again please e-mail us.
