Description: The Milford Track is often described as the finest walk in the world. This 5 day walk through the Fiordland National Park covers 54 kilometres (34 miles) from the head of Lake Te Anau to beautiful Milford Sound.
The terrain and scenery is stunning, including lakes, rivers, and waterfalls, (including the Sutherland Falls which are world famous), snow-capped mountains, and rich podocarp forests. The comfort of lodge accommodation and the excellent facilities make this track extra special. Access to the beginning of the track is by boat on Lake Te Anau.

Description: The Routeburn Track is a 32 kilometre, two to three day, moderate-level tramping track. It which links the National Parks of Mount Aspiring and Fiordland via the Harris Saddle.
Features of the track include waterfalls, forested valleys, open alpine tops, rich birdlife, lakes and spectacular mountain scenery. The track traverses part of Te Wahipounamu - Southwest New Zealand World Heritage Area.
Over the summer it is one of New Zealand's most popular tramping tracks. During winter and spring, it becomes an alpine crossing; impassable without alpine experience. At times there is high avalanche danger. Sections of the track, however, are still suitable for daywalks.
