Description: This is a three day catered walking adventure, where all your food, accommodation and transport to and from the tracks each day (where necessary) is supplied. Your luggage is moved onto the next nights accommodation while you are out walking, as you stay in the towns of Edgecumbe, Kawerau and Whakatane. The tracks have all got great scenery.

On your first day you are walking in the Okataina/Tarawera Lakes area, through native forest with Mt. Tarawera dominating the Lake Tarawera walk. Day two the track winds through native and pohutukawa forest from Ohope Beach to Whakatane. Day three see you on the spectacular Kohi Point Walkway, where the views take in Whakatane and the Plains through to Mt. Maunganui on a fine day, to the South, Mt. Edgecumbe, Tarawera and much more, to the East the Island of Whale and the active volcano White Island.

The accommodation is excellent with great home-cooked meals on night one and two, and dining out at the Whakatane Sports Fishing Clubs restaurant the last night. So come and enjoy the walks with only a light day pack on your back to worry about.
