About Straw Lodge

The boutique vineyard B&B Straw Lodge is housed in a straw-bale building nestled amongst the Pinot Noir and Sauvignon Blanc Vines. It is featured in the New York Times #1 Best Seller "1000 Places to See Before You Die". It has been recognised by Trip Advisor for its excellence.
Situated on the world renowned wine producing river flats of the Wairau Valley it provides stylish B&B accommodation as well as providing meal options. This is a unique service. It combines quality accommodation, a working vineyard, home-cooked and fresh home-grown produce, a taste of wine from the vineyard, and the option to be guided or advised on individually designed wine tours plus trekking, biking, fishing or sightseeing expeditions.

Guests are accommodated in separate and spacious suites. Each have an en suite, separate entrances and courtyards, fridge, tea/coffee facilities, T/V, DVD player, and although designed for two they will comfortably sleep four. Tariff includes a continental and cooked breakfast; a complimentary bottle of the vineyard's wine; use of the Lodge's bikes, golf clubs, out-door spa, BBQ areas, guest kitchen/dining area, courtyards and grounds, free wi fi access, and may pick the garden/orchard produce.
