Kayaking on beautiful scenic lakes surrounding RotoruaDescription: Adventure Kayaking operates trips ranging from 2 hours to 3 days on many of the beautiful scenic lakes surrounding Rotorua. Trips may include hot thermal pool swims, fishing, tramping, BBQ`s or just taking in the natural beauty of the bush and birdlife.

We operate quality double and single sea kayaks, with all safety equipment provided. Freedom rentals are also available. Trips for social clubs and corporate groups are a specialty.

With the variety of waterways surrounding Rotorua at their disposal, Kaitiaki Adventures go where the flow is highest.

Just 20 minutes from town in their courtesy vehicle and their guides (winners of NZ raft champs 2003) will raft you down the Kaituna River, snake through bush clad canyons, plunge down the 7m Tutea Falls into the white knuckle foam below, all in one hour of adrenalin packed fun.

The Wairoa is available every Sunday in summer and is an unsurpassed rafting adventure. Beginning with a backdrop of the beautiful Maclarens falls followed by 1 hour and 45 mins of adrenalin overload. Transport and refreshments are provided for this grade 5 world class rafting experience.

Location: State Highway 30, 4km from the Whakatane turn off; inside the upper reaches of the hellsgate carpark.
