Directions: Kapiti Stables is located on the sunny Kapiti Coast within the Wellington Regional Park. Our barn and stables area is situated on Whareroa Rd, inside the main gate of Queen Elizabeth Park, MacKays Crossing, SH1, Paekakariki, Wellington.
Kapiti Stables is based in Wellington Regional Park, 40 minutes north from Wellington Central, on the Kapiti coastline. Kapiti Stables offers a scenic ride through gentle rolling hills, pine tree plantations, farmland pasture and Regional Park bridleways down to the beautiful beach .
Kapiti Stables is a family friendly business which offers a variety of activities including short and long treks for inexperienced and experienced children and adult riders, Equine Assisted Therapy for individuals and corporate business's, school holiday programmes, pony experience, riding instruction and private grazing facilities.
All treks are assisted by a personal guide who can tell you about the local area.

Kapiti Stables has several horses from large Clydesdale's to tiny miniature pony's, so all age groups can be catered for a ride. Bring a picnic lunch and enjoy the fabulous scenery and beach.
Kapiti Stables also works with people of different abilities within the local community. We support differently able-artists and their art work is for sale in the barn. People from Idea Services also come out regularly to experience the horses and help out.
We also operate Equine Assisted Therapy out of our site in Otaki for people further out of Wellington.
