About Beaumont High Country Experience

Discover an unforgettable high country horse riding experience when you visit an expansive family owned and managed sheep station. Operating since 2003, Beaumont High Country Experience has built a reputation for excellence. One guest described their visit as ‘more than we could have dreamed or imagined’.

Many options available, from half and full day treks (including 4-wheel drive tours), to multi day horse riding based holidays. Bookings are not combined, hence, visit as a single person, couple, or small group to become our exclusive guests for the duration of your stay. This enables us to personally tailor to the individual needs of our visitors.

During your visit you will explore the vast, diverse, natural scenery of this 18,000 acre sheep station by horseback (or alternatively, 4-wheel drive). Experienced horse riders may wish to join us on a high country muster. This is a genuine New Zealand farming experience, where you help with the gathering (herding) of the sheep, or cattle in the high country. The longer stay packages also include other unique aspects of a high country farm visit.

Accommodation is a fully self contained cottage, which is located adjacent to the homestead. Amidst its own garden setting, this spacious farm cottage has been lovingly restored and decorated to reflect its timeless character. It is well equipped and includes a laundry. Therapeutic spa (hot tub) or infrared sauna are available. View our website for current specials.
