Catlins Horse Riding

The Catlins (North), 30 kms South of Balclutha

Te Taunga Adventures/Catlins Horse Riding offers "Personalised Horse Riding to suit you".

Horse riding at Te Taunga Adventures is based on "Te Taunga", a 1630 acre/660 hectare certified organic sheep and beef farm located in the Catlins, 30kms south of Balclutha overlooking the Pacific Ocean, making it a great location for experiencing the coastal Catlins on horseback.

We offer farm, forest and beach riding with spectacular views over farmland and native forest both inland & overlooking the coast. You can enjoy a personalized service, riding in small groups with the opportunity to ride among farm animals, through our native QEII forest full of bird life and along pristine sandy beaches to play in the surf or view the sea lions.

Our emphasis is on safety and enjoyment, in an atmosphere of great fun. We cater for almost anyone - individuals, couples, families, small groups, anyone with an adventurous nature, love of the outdoors, animals and natural beauty that the Catlins has to offer.

We have a wide range of horse riding options available, catering for the complete beginner to experienced rider, with rides from 1 hour. All rides are tailored to suit your level of adventure and experience, from relaxed to exhilarating - you decide or choose one of our regular 1, 2, or 3 hour rides.

We take pride in helping YOU get the Horse Riding Adventure YOU want!
