Come and experience the breathtaking scenery from horseback, of the panoramic views of Mt Ruapehu to the south, northeast to the Kaimais, and west to Mt Pirongia. For the thrill seekers among you, we have downhill rides that would make the Man from Snowy River quake. By the time you have reached the bottom, you will know how to ride!
Our horses are all fit, keen and sure-footed, and all well experienced in handling the terrain. We have horses to suit children and adults, both experienced and those who have never ridden before.
We can cater for larger groups of 20 or more, and can combine your horse riding experience with canoeing on our extensive purpose-built farm lake (check out our TrueNZ listing for canoeing here).
During the summer months we also have twilight/moonlight treks - enjoy riding alongside our glorious glow-worms!

Magic Mountain Horse Trekking Description: Our farm is the only one in the world where you can see three harbours and four volcanoes on horseback! At 328m above sea level the views are magical. Horse trek over farmland for one hour if you`re a beginner rider or for two hours if you`re adventurous at heart or a skilled horse rider. We also trek to the beautiful Bridal Veil Falls (55m high).

Wild Coast Horse Adventures Description: Ride with us over our farm and up Mt Karioi where you will see wonderful views of the beach, ocean and rolling valleys. We ride through native bush, over streams and down onto the beautiful Ruapuke beach where the black iron (volcanic) sand glistens. Feel the wind on your face - This is a horse adventure with an edge!
Our ride is a 2 1/2 - 3 hour (half day) adventure and is moderate to challenging.
