Makoura Lodge - Glen Luce Homestead Description: Our "Glen Luce" homestead is an ideal country retreat for groups of all sizes. It is made up of 5 bedrooms (3 doubles, one single and a bunk room), with a double sofa bed in the lounge, and can accommodate up to 18 guests. The farm style kitchen and dining room create a homely feel, and the seperate lounge, with wood burner, and historical library is the ideal place to relax and unwind in the evening. Extensive gardens are available for you to enjoy, and a BBQ and outside seating are available for the warmer months.
The homestead is located on the main driveway of Makoura Lodge, a 5 minute walk away. With a fully licenced bar and restaurant, meals are available by appointment, and there are also a range of activities to be enjoyed. These range from the local farm walks and swimming holes to be enjoyed free of charge, to horse treks, quad bike tours, 4wd safaris, and clay bird shooting.
We are located in the foothills of the beautiful Ruahine Ranges in the northern Manawatu, and are an ideal base for walks both in the ranges, or in the nearby Pohangina Valley.

The `Glen Luce` Homestead is a perfect solution for groups who wish to enjoy time together with privacy and autonomy from the main lodge area.

Mt Huia Farmstay Description: Relaxed friendly hosts with a determination to ensure guests have a real Kiwi experience in a comfortable home with a high standard of presentation and cuisine. We have 2 rooms available for guests. The elegant Garden Room has a double bed and ensuite, and private access from the sunny veranda which overlooks an expansive country garden and lawn to native trees and the unique sandstone "papa" cliffs of the Rangitikei / Northern Manawatu region. The Paddock Studio is a little more spacious and has a king or 2 single beds, and an ensuite bathroom, kitchenette and TV. A quad-bike tour of the farm is an optional extra.
On The Farm: Sheep and cattle farm - depending on time of visit there is likely to be some farm activity which guests can get involved with, or observe. Marked walks are available on the farm. Otapawa Farmstay Description: Located on a hill country sheep and beef station in Tiraumea, North Wairarapa.
