Unwind with a cup of tea or a cold drink and homemade treats in your room or on the expansive deck, while you enjoy the views and plan your next day`s sightseeing.
Our tastefully decorated rooms are warm and cosy with comfortable beds and large bathrooms (ensuite or shared). Fresh flowers from the garden are always placed in the rooms and there is some fantastic artwork adorning the wall. You are guaranteed a beautiful night`s sleep before awakening to a enjoyable, home-cooked breakfast.
We have 2 rooms:
- A queen room with a queen bed, an ensuite bathroom, walk-in wardrobe, a private deck, and private entrance.
- A single room with a single bed, a shared bathroom, a wardrobe, and the possibility to sleep 2 people with a pull-out bed.
A delicious breakfast, continental or cooked (by request) is offered in the dining room in the morning, including a range of home-grown, home-made, and locally produced delights. Please ensure to inform us before your arrival of any allergies or requirements you may have.
Enjoy a stroll around the orchard and native gardens, you may be lucky enough to see a family of ducks or pukekos on the pond. We also have a friendly bunch of resident horses.
There is ample off-street parking for all guest vehicles.

Pakinui Gardens Farmstay Description: A family farm which is 35 Hectares and runs Beef Cattle. The house is a large modern brick home with doors opening out onto large decks, for outdoor entertaining. A spa pool is available situated on the deck area. The house is surrounded by a large picturesque garden of roses, shrubs and trees. There are fish ponds, dove cotes and a bird aviary.
There are three guest bedrooms, nicely furnished and decorated. They consist of 1 double, 1 king or can be triple and 1 twin. A private guest bathroom is available with spa bath and shower. Delicious home cooked meals are available and served with New Zealand wine or you may choose to dine at our local restaurants (5 minute drive).
Warm and friendly New Zealand hospitality in a relaxed atmosphere.
Local attractions include horse riding at Muriwai Beach, vineyards, restaurants, cafes, several golf courses, wild and natural West Coast beaches, hot air ballooning and only a 15 minute drive to the scenic Waitakere Ranges, with bush walks, native scenery, waterfalls and lakes.
