Description: Kia ora, we live inside the world heritage park Tongariro. Our property climbs up 1200mtrs on the northern slopes of Mt Tongariro, just below the Ketetahi springs.
Views from our place, Mts Tongariro, Ngauruhoe, Taranaki, Pureora, Taurewa, Pihanga, Tauhara, the Kakaramea and Kaimanawa ranges, lakes Otamangakau, Rotoaira, and Taupo, this all from the one spot!!
We offer a range of activities that take visitors into some very exclusive country, guided by the people of the land, our connection with the land dates back 20+ generations. Activities include:
- 4x4 quad adventures
- 4x4 Unimog tours
- 4x4 safari tag on tours
- Alpine horse treks
- Alpine / bush hikes
- Fishing / hunting
We organise packages around our activities, eg; The Tongariro experience (2 days, hike/ bike/ raft). Accommodation / transport / meals included. Day one, hike the Tongariro crossing with a hot soak in the geothermal springs, camp high on the slopes of Mt Tongariro at our whare (listen to stories of the region around the camp fire). Day two, a cooked breakfast followed by either alpine horse trek or 4x4 quad adventure, lunch , our afternoon experiencing the might of the Tongariro river, white water section, will end with another soak in a geothermal hot pool before departing for home and a well earned rest!
We can cater for overnight groups up to x 8 visitors, and up to x 80 for day activties.
