About Tranquility Homestay

Set in the foothills of the beautiful Akatarawa Valley, you will enjoy a break from the "hustle and bustle" of city life.

Our wonderful retreat is the perfect getaway for honeymooners, or any travellers who want to get away from it all and treat themselves to our gorgeous facilities and accommodation. Nestled in approximately one acre of native bush and gardens, you will be surrounded by the song of the Tuis, with the flutter fantails and native Wood Pigeons. Tranquility Homestay offers you comfortable, warm and friendly hospitality.

Choose from our Rose Room with TV, ensuite including spa bath, the Totara Room which is a double with ensuite, the Blue Room with twin beds (1-2 persons) or Kowhai Room single bed. The Blue Room, & Kowhai Room have family shared facilities.

Fabulous river trails and bush walks are only a stones throw from this gem location, as well as the option to take up a game of golf or for something more adrenalin driven there is the Temarua Speedway, a short drive away. Also close by Trentham Racecourse, Kaitoke Country Gardens & Wallaceville House.

We are also en route to Staglands, Upper Hutt's own animal park and sanctuary
