Directions: Going south on SH 6 from Haast Pass Rata Road is the 1st road on the left when you enter Makarora. Going north from Wanaka Rata Road is on the right after the Makarora West sign which is approx. 10 km north of the first Makarora village you come to.

About Makarora Mountainview

Kickback & de-stress in the idyllic atmosphere. Bask in the magnificent mountain & valley views while chilling out on the deck with a glass of wine or beer. Delight in the antics of the many native birds. Or try out the local bar/cafe which is an easy 5 minute walk.

The Tui Studio offers a kitchenette, ensuite bathroom and private balcony at the edge of the bush. This open plan room has a queen bed and a sofabed. Guests can relax on the private deck and enjoy the spectacular mountain views.

The Kea & The Kaka our 2 semidetached ensuite rooms are perfect for a stopover.
The Kea Room offers a queen bed and a single bed, ensuite bathroom with a microwave, toaster & electric jug.
The Kaka Rooms offers a king bed, ensuite bathroom also with a microwave, toaster & electric jug.
Guests can relax on the shared verandah enjoying the spectacular mountain views.

Due to guest demand for a room only rate we now supply continental breakfast provisions as an extra @ $10 per person. Please advise when booking if you wish to purchase breakfast.
