Kinara Country Homestay

Kinara Country Homestay is close to the geothermal attractions of Taupo and Rotorua. Wairakei Tourist Park is on our doorstep as are many of the adventure activities and attractions Visit the world famous Aratiatia Rapids and the beautiful Huka Falls only 5 minutes drive from Kinara.

If you like to do a bit of tramping, there are walks that can be done locally, or you can traverse the Tongariro Crossing; one of the world’s greatest walks, and one you will remember for a very long time.

If enjoy golf, then visit any one of four splendid golf courses within a 10 minute drive of Kinara; including Wairakei International and Taupo Centennial Course.

Taupo has lots to offer - trips out onto our beautiful lake to enjoy a bit of fishing or photography; great shopping; and lots of lovely restaurants.

Taupo is also central to taking day trips further afield such as Tongariro National Park 1.5hrs; Waitomo Caves 1.5hrs; Rotorua 45 minutes; Napier just under 2 hours; so plenty to see and do; no time to be bored!

At Kinara we offer you great Kiwi hospitality. Our breakfasts are renowned - we offer either a Kiwi Continental or Full English Breakfast. On a warm sunny morning, enjoy your breakfast on the patio.

Your hosts are Graeme and Heather; also meet your two little alarm clocks, Jack our Spaniel and Poppy the Toy Poodle. You might even be lucky to see Belle our little cat.
