Wild Valley (Awariri)

"Awariri" (Wild Valley) is a 1000 acre sheep and cattle farm situated midway between Port Waikato and Raglan Harbour.

A virtually unknown tourism region yet in the heart of scenic limestone hill country, rich in breathtaking rural views, extensive pastoral holdings, towering cliffs and escarpments, open rolling farmland, streams, native bush and pine forest. Great riding or walking country with trails throughout the farm. We also enjoy access to the long expanses of sandy beaches and rolling surf that typify the wild, unpopulated West Coast. Hunting jumps and Cross Country course. Guided rides on active, well mannered horses from $30 or bring your own horse.
