Glenthorne Station is a 62,352 acre high country sheep and cattle station nestled on the shores of Lake Coleridge, by the spectacular Southern Alps. Only 1 & ½ hour’s drive west of Christchurch or 30 minutes drive from SH72 at Windwhistle or SH73 at Lake Lyndon. We have a wonderful range of accommodation, adventures and conference facilities available on the station to suit your budget

Relax and unwind enjoying our many walks and tramps. Other activites available are horse trekking on Glenthorne Station, jet boating on the Rakaia River, Skiing, Fishing.

A variety of accommodation is available at Glenthorne Station, two self-catering lodge that can sleep up to 19 people , a self-catering holiday house and the “Retreat” which is a real wilderness experience being only accessible by four wheel drive. There are four different areas on the station that these great options are located and all are set in the superb mountain scenery of Glenthorne Station. Glenthorne is a working station we DO NOT allow dogs on the property.
