Our farm shares its borders with the rugged state forest, one of the largest untouched areas of native forest left in the North Island of New Zealand.
We are surrounded by the Waioeka Gorge Scenic Reserve, one of New Zealand’s most beautiful nature reserves. Sightings of Blue Ducks, Red Deer, and Tui are common. We have numerous farm and forest tracks for you to explore ranging from an easy flat gradient to a decent uphill trek. The beauty is that our property will be yours to indulge in.
For fishermen, the magnificent Waioeka River runs through our property. This river is renowned for its feisty rainbow and cunning brown trout.
We have 3 different types of accommodation available. The cottage has two bunk rooms with three bunks in total and another room with a queen bed. Ideal for families, this has a full sized kitchen with an oven, fridge/freezer, microwave, 2 bathrooms, TV & a wood fire that keeps you cosy on a winters night.
The chalets each sleep two, are quite new and very popular. They are also self contained with a small fridge, microwave, TV and 2 gas elements for cooking.Each chalet has a shower and toilet.
The bush cabin is set in bush and very secluded, lantern lights only, gas shower & a toilet , a barbie for cooking along with two gas elements. All accommodation is close to the Waioeka river.
You can bring your own horse to trek the farm which has awesome mountain tracks and spectacular scenery.
