We have 3 king size rooms and 1 queen studio apartment. The king size rooms have a king-size bed, ensuite, fridge, tea/coffee making facilities, table & chairs, TV, DVD, and private entrances plus sea views.
The Beach Suite studio apartment has a queen size bed, ensuite, laundry, kitchen, fridge, microwave, small oven & cook top, table & chairs, and 2 private entrances with a patio and deck. The sea view is from the private deck rather than from inside the room.
All rooms have TV & DVD as well as beach towels, bathrobes & slippers, hairdryers & toiletries. The lodge itself has a large lounge, day room and decks to watch the sea from and the beach is a very short stroll from the door (150m).
At Waihi Beach there are 4 very good local cafes, a pub, an RSA and Boating Club and a couple of great little takeaways to choose from for evening meal requirements.
There are plenty of activities locally from beach walks to Orakawa Bay or Haumanga,a gold mine tour of the working martha mine in Waihi, walks in the Karangahake gorge, golf on the of the 4 courses near by, a visit to the historic Athenree homestead, a swim at the Athenree mineral hot pools, both sea and river fishing, a Harley ride around the Coromandel, swimming with the dolphins in Tauranga or kayaking to the glow worm caves with Waimarino. Alternatively do a day trip to either Waitomo, Rotorua or the Coromandel.
